Our First Christmas Pictures

It took us forever to finally take our Christmas pictures but we got them done! I had hoped to design our own Christmas cards too and send those out, but we took the pictures 5 days before we left for Texas so that wasn't going to happen. At least there's next year! I'm so happy with how our pictures turned out though. I really wanted to hire someone so we could have some candid photos (my favorite!) thrown in with the posed pictures, but we're poor and I have a frugal husband...what would I do without him ;)
Here they are! They were taken off of my facebook since the computer that the pictures are saved on is broken. So the resolution is suffering to say the least.

My favorite is the first one :) I love the colors! Colin helped with the posing and prop idea in picture 2 and 3 haha. Our "mistletoe" was a dead twig with a few leaves that was laying on the road. So festive! And the last picture ended up being a little candid! I love it.

I originally wanted to take our pictures at a Christmas tree farm near Irvine, but the sun sets so dang early here so we decided on the drive there that we wouldn't make it to the farm in time. Instead we stopped in the middle of nowhere and drove around until we found a decent looking area. I thought we did pretty good considering the time of year when everything looks dead!
Anyways, taking our own Christmas pictures had it's perks. I could take as many pictures as I wanted until it looked right, I could edit the pictures however I wanted, and Colin and I definitely felt more relaxed since it was just us out in the middle of nowhere! Maybe this will become a Christmas tradition...we'll see haha.
